BIOGRAPHY :
Chris Dahl was born in Denmark in the late 70’s and moved to France with his family in early 80’s.Already then he played drums and he was dreaming of one day writing his own pop-rock songs and singing them.He made that dream come true, he learned to play guitar and to sing and started writing songs in 1990. Play drums, guitar, bass and synth, he’s able to record his songs on his own before even showing them to his musicians.
Chris often performs live since 1993, in France and elsewhere. He’s been involved in many differents bands, as a guitarist, sometimes as the lead singer, but always with the priority of writing and performing own material.
In 2000 Chris wants to concentrate on one and only rock band, he then starts the band STILLICO together with long time friends Manu and Stef (Emmanuel and Stephane) from Paris. Philippe joined the team in 2004.
They play concerts, record many songs in studio, release three demo-EP’s but no official album has been released. In 2003, the song “Take it On” got chosen for a successful french animation movie “La Methode Bourjnikoff”.
Chris began to do things under his own name around 2005 along with guitarist Yann, meanwhile he continued running the Stillico band. But in 2007 Stillico changed name to C.D.O. – the CHRIS DAHL ORCHESTRA – which is actually the former Stillico team plus Yann. However, with the name change there also happened a change in the sound. In 2008 and Chris Dahl and C.D.O. began recording the first LP/CD album on a total indie basis, and it is currently in the making, and set to come out in 2010.
